The Montgomery County morgue is at full capacity. Last year around this time, a busy day at the morgue would be 4-5 overdose related deaths. This year, that number has more than doubled. Montgomery County is on pace to quadruple overdose related deaths this year and estimates about 800 deaths in the county during all of 2017. Each deputy on patrol carries 2 doses of nalaxone nasal spray but that isn't always enough. Some overdose incidences require multiple doses and that the victim doesn't always survive. It is estimated that the entire state of Ohio will see 10,000 overdoses by the end of 2017 which was more than the entire United States in 1990.
